I am a blogger

I was able to find my way back to my blog, that must mean I am worthy of calling myself a blogger, even if this is only post number two in my career.

I guess a lot has happened to me this week. Mostly good things. For one, I found out that Subway has a Five Dollar Footlong special where you can get any footlong for five dollars. Hello, Chicken Bacon Ranch.

I think much of this luck lately can be attributed to the Evil Eye Bracelets I've begun to wear. I am not normally an actually superstitious person, one because it never really has worked in my favor, but also because I'm pretty sure the General Idea behind superstitions is mostly pagan... and we Catholics don't do pagan.. except December 25 of course.

I didn't really get the whole "evil eye" thing when I originally heard about it. Laura wore them this summer and while she was wearing them, we lost most of Color War, so she broke it off... which as I understand, is a no-no. I don't think its right to boast of the luck that a bracelet brings you, but I must say, I've been pleasantly surprised with the luck I've had this two weeks since I've donned it. Moral of the story: I'm pretty sure its all out of our hands, especially the power of a bracelet, but I also suggest checking them out. It may be entertaining at the very least.

Also, I love the movie Troy. I could watch it all the time, but I am sad that I never think of it when someone asks me about my favorite movies. I think its because I don't want people to know that I like it this much... I would seem too shallow. And maybe I am, but it is a super good action flick... its only a plus that Brad Pitt spends most of the movie shirtless. While I watch the movie, I really wish I had paid more attention in high school when we read the Iliad and the Odyssey. They seem like good stories, and the quizzes I took on them seemed interesting... but I didn't actually read them.

I'm pretty sure this blogging thing will be counter-productive to me getting a job... but its way more fun than stalking Joblink. So here's to another post semi-soon, and to these evil eyes bringing me an interview.

Catch ya on the flip side.

  1. You should be coaching at SSPP instead of blogging, I've decided.
