what a roller coaster a day can be!

So another two weeks later, but I have so much to talk about this time.. and so little. Sometimes I'll be doing something and I'll think its really cool, so I'll tell whoever is with me, that the situation is going in my blog, and then it doesn't. And a series of those brain farts, leads to a serious dry spell in blog posts, which is unfortunate.

But luckily, today, blogging was on my mental to-do list and something interesting happened to me that I wanted to blog about, so here I am.

While I don't want to be a big complainer... I think I might come off as one in this post, because the interesting things that happened today, were mostly frustrating.. but as I figured, life turned right around within the day.

So first, I woke up about 4 times before I actually woke up, because I had a test this morning. I also had gone to bed planning to run before I got ready for the day and to take my test. I think my body knew what was going to happen today, because I just couldn't sleep in- for the life of me. So I got up and went for a run. This morning's run was really great, and I came back thinking it was a really good idea because I was in a really positive mood afterwards. Then I got to my phone, and Cori had texted me as she left that she noticed my tire was flat... and then I remembered that Megan had told me my car was making noise last night. Shoot. So now I have 45 minutes before my test and the time I had set aside for reviewing and showering after my run was going to be spent finding someone who knew how to change a tire.

And now I know some people would say, "women should know how to change their own tires."-- which is a true statement, but knowing myself, I would have totaled my car trying to change the flat, so I called around. Luckily, Garrick was available. he drove all the way to my house to change my tire, but by the time he got there, I had to leave for my test. Bless his heart he changed it still, by himself. So I took my test and came home to take my car to a tire shop-- let me tell you-- tires are expensive. There was a gash in my tire about 2 inches long, right on the shoulder, which apparently un-repairable. Anyways, my car was driveable so I went to the classes I could for the rest of the day-- one of which is my golf class, and it is so great. The weather was perf and I'm getting better on my swing-- so let me know if you want to play a round- once I move on from the driving range. :)

Then on my way home I called to activate a credit card, because the last one expired. And funny enough, my credit card company has my social security number different than what it actually is-- and they are not very nice about it. The mean guy on the phone sent me on a wild goose chase over the phone to try to figure out what to do. The lady at my bank is super nice but the people on the phone were just mean... I don't think they are actually all from the same company- they can't be, they're too different, and they don't know what each other are talking about.

But then, I got a lot of homework and things accomplished tonight, so I'm ending on a positive note for sure, and its a Monday, so that's even greater! But seriously, a day can just be so moody from hour to hour.

But its things like my day today that I think are meant to maybe test us or bring things we didn't know we needed. Like, a flat tire in the morning before a test could have ruined my day, but my friends were there, and they saved it. The expensive tire could have ruined my day, but my dad was there. And- added bonus, I probably wouldn't have had time to see my dad before my parents went to vegas this weekend, so my minor emergency was actually a sort-of blessing in disguise. I haven't figured out the up-side of the credit card mis-hap yet, but I'm sure finding out that my credit card is not connected to me through my social security number now is better versus when I go to apply for a loan or something big and I get denied because the numbers don't add-up....

Wait, speaking of that- I got denied an American Eagle credit card in December, but the letter didn't say denied because of credit score, it said, denied because of inaccurate information! Oh, man! I could have been getting the AE discounts this whole time.... stupid, bank. Well then maybe that's the upside to that frustration.

Long story short, its all about how you see things. If you let them take you down, they will, but if you take them in stride, and ask for help, it will be all good. Today was a good Monday. :)

Somebody has a case of the... Mondays?
