It was obviously a day off school, which means it was a bank holiday but no real businesses were closed. Why do I know this for certain? I definitely didn't join the lucky few who stayed home today. No, it was because at 3 pm today every kid from the Woburn area was with their parent(s) at the nearby McDonalds. Clearly not at school. But the way the were running around, and whining, and dragging each other across the floor (the further away from childhood I get, the more I appreciate what my mom had to deal with) means they might have gotten a break from school thanks to the late-great Martin Luther King Jr, but their parents most certainly did not get the same "holiday". It was just after I narrowly avoided an ice cream cone to the knee, I decided to consider boarding school. Also about the time the for year old was rounding a corner, clearly not designed to be played around, I was acutely aware of the benefit of extra curricular activities and how grateful I was to my parents for signing me up.
Its hard to get a picture of a restaurant full of crazy children with out being arrested or going on some sort of list, so this will have to do.
